Okra

Last night the kids and I started our okra down in the basement. This year we plan on growing 8 plants to hopefully give us enough to have decent harvests that we can use to cook up some of our southern meals we came to love while we lived in Georgia.

Preparing the Garden Beds

Added some compost and peat moss to the raised beds. Mixed it up and then some of the kids helped me mix it into the beds.

Peach Branch Centerpieces

I pruned the peach tree yesterday and brought the branches in so they'll hopefully bloom indoors as centerpieces.

 

Tomatoes

Tonight I started the eight heirloom varieties of tomatoes that we are going to grow this year. 

The seedlings of my peppers are on their are coming along.
